"Hi - Am glad to report that Gene is fine. I saw him last night at the home of Larry and Dana Greer at a little party. He is staying with the Greer's and will also stay with Ray and Virginia Walker while in Frederick, OK. The Walkers own the Crossroads, where the Abernathy boys lived. Also, Larry Greer is the artist who painted "the Remarkable Ride" of Bud and Temple Abernathy. Tomorrow, Monday the 24th of May, Gene will be on the "Town and Country" radio show on "K96 the Coyote." After that he will visit the Tri-County nutrition lunch room for Senior Citizens and then speak to the Rotary Club of Frederick. Monday night he will speak at the Lois Long Youth Center, next to the historic Ramona Theatre."

"Congratulations, Gene. This is truly a great accomplishment. We all wish we could be there to see you finish another chapter in your life and journey. It was a thrill for me to have met you in Oklahoma and have you stay in Tuttle. Your stories you shared were wonderful and I have thought of them and you often. Good luck and God speed."
