"Hello to everyone, from Ramblin B Arabians, in Baraboo, Wisconsin. It was a great pleasure to have Gene and the boys here on the night of August 17, 2005, I hated to see them go, but they were well on their way to Sauk City, Wisconsin. To talk to this gentlemen and hear his stories was a real treat. Anyone in Wisconsin or in Iowa, don't miss the chance to spend a night with Gene and the boys. This is a man to admire for his dedication to this cause. He can spend time here anytime. Good luck Gene."

"Gene, I am sorry that I missed you as you traveled through Baraboo WI. I guess I just got to your helpers a bit late to let you stay with us in rural Baraboo. Hope all the rest of your miles are good, and heard from the grapevine that as you were traveling along Hwy 12 south of Baraboo that you were sitting in your saddle and reading a map or book. Must be nice to have a horse that calm around all that traffic."

"I had the pleasure and the privilege of meeting and visiting with Gene, his four horses , and his weekend host family near Milton, WI Saturday evening, Aug. 20, 2005. When asked why he set out on this daunting adventure, he just said, "I fell in love," then went on to explain it is with the children he met in Paraguay. I feel very honored to have met this gentleman, and gentleman he is -- one of the nicest people I have ever met. It was well worth the two hour trip each way. I appreciate the encouragement he gives to us not so young riders, too! See you in Monroe Gene!"

"I had the honor of meeting Mr. Glasscock today. My dad and I were riding down Cheese Country ATV trail just west of Monroe WI , when we came upon an elder man with 4 horses. He flagged us down to ask where the town of Gariot was. After informing him that he was just a few miles away, we started talking about his current ride. I was in awe. I don’t think I could ride that far on the 4 wheeler I was on yet alone on top of a horse. He gave me his card and we went on our way. An hour later we passed him on our way back to Monroe, and with a smile and a wave, he continued west down the trail. Good luck on your journey Gene. I will definitely keep checking up on your progress and hopefully our paths will cross again someday!"
